In brief: Polytrim (polymyxin b and trimethoprim)
Is an antibiotic for superficial eye infections.
Being composed of Polymyxin B sulfate & trimethoprim sulfate, it should be used with caution in those with sulfa allergies. If using this medication, do not take vitamin b complex or folate (folic acid) supplements, as they will counter the activity of the trimethoprim. If eye condition worsens, see doc.
