Neck biopsies are done in suspected cases of malignancy, etc.
, so their rate of positive diagnosis is high, but there are other reasons/conditions that need biopsy. Other conditions, like skin conditions and autoimmune diseases can be on the neck and need this. To my knowledge there is no study determining the malignancy rate of a neck biopsy, since it would not be done if there was no need.
