Don't waste your $. Healthtap physicians have repeatedly addressed this subject with a clear "no" answer to colonics. There is virtually no value to colon flushes, cleansers, enemas, irrigation machines when the technique is accomplished to "detox" or eliminate "accumulated waste." the "no" response also applies to liver detoxes! There are few real health benefits, but sigificant unjustified risk. Don't "cleanse".
It has risks. There is a risk of perforating the colon and the procedure is unnecessary.
Neither. You are 38 and female. You are curious as to the benefit of colonic hydrotherapy or fleets enema. Ideally in your age group neither unless your doctor diagnosis you with a colonic problem. If you are constipated chronically then see a doctor. The bacteria in your colon are important so washing them out is not advised. Watch your diet, drink plenty of water.
Wouldn't do it. Arguably there is no indication at all for colon hydrotherapy. Risks can include fluid and electrolyte problems, infection, adversely affecting the colonic bacterial flora. Any of these migh be more of an issue during breast feeding.
Unsafe at any cost. Trained medical professionals will not recommend hydrotherapy, good bacteria that protect will be washed away, could get new infections bedsides danger of perforating colon, especially after colon surgery., nevertheless people believe in washing away the non existent 'toxins' from he body, and spend thousands of dollars over the period of time.
Wouldn't do it. No need; doesn't detoxify, only makes you poop (not thesame thing). can damage lining of bowel, screw around with fluid/mineral balance; alter bacterial flora, not in a good way, can complicate clinical picture in people with inflammatory bowel disease; rare, but potential complication like infection or perforation.
NOT SAFE. Colonics are not recommended, especially if the colon is inflamed or compromised. See Mayo Clinic link for general info. Http://www. Mayoclinic. Org/healthy-living/consumer-health/expert-answers/colon-cleansing/faq-20058435.
A useless process. Colon cleansing is needed only for colonoscopy or colon surgery. Colon hydrotherapy and other colon cleansing procedures are useless. For additional information please consult the following site:http://www. Mayoclinic. Com/health/colon-cleansing/an00065/.
Not much. There are no proven health benefits to colonic hydrotherapy, and there is some associated risk.

Prior to colonoscopy. Only helpful prior to a colonoscopy. Otherwise, in my opinion, it is not helpful, and sometimes can be harmful. It can cause cramping, bloating, nausea and vomiting, as well as risk for dehydration, perforation, infection etc. Discuss in detail with your conventional health care provider prior to the procedure if you choose to do so.
