In brief: Clean and dry

After you have an "i&d" or an "incision and drainage" for an access, care is very simple.
If you have had packing placed in the hole, that packing should be checked and changed by a physician at least one time after it is done initially. Once the packing is removed, warm soaks or sitz baths can be used to help continue to promote drainage and healing. Anti inflammatory meds can help as well.
