The only people who need vitamin supplements regularly are alcoholics, pregnant and nursing women and people who have had certain types of bypass surgery.
Many people in the northwest and alaska need extra vitamin d. Vitamin c does not prevents colds or the flu. Megadoses of some viatamins (a, d and k) can actually be harmful.
