If path report reads (in part) idc with 'metaplastic features' does this mean it's quite likely it is also metaplastic? (er 1/3) all grade 3/3.

In brief: Metaplastic cancer
Poorly differentiated - ( grade 3/3 ) - invasive ductal carcinoma (idc) with metaplastic feature-this could be a metaplastic carcinoma of the breast- which is a very rare type ( about 1%) of cancer of the breast.
It is usually negative for er/pr/her2neu, however. There is a relation between metaplastic carcinoma and brca-1 mutation. Discuss further in detail with your oncologist.

In brief: Not metaSTATIC
Don't let the word "metaplastic" scare you worse - that is a description of how the cells are growing/changing, and has nothing to do with "metastatic" disease, which means spreading to other parts of the body.
It sounds like you are talking about intraductal carcinoma, which is usually non-invasive (hasn't spread yet). This is definitely treatable - talk to your oncologist about best options.
