In brief: ...

Common symptoms in men can include burning when urinating and a discharge from the penis.
Some may have discomfort in their testicles. Others may not have any symptoms. Some women don’t have any symptoms, or feel like they have a UTI or yeast infection. Signs of rectal infection can include discharge, itching, bleeding or pain with bowel movement. Gonorrhea can also cause a sore throat.

In brief: If a man you know!

If a female, you probably do not know.
You need to see someone who can culture your endocervix to see if the bug is present.

Men may also be without symptoms. In women, particularly after their period, this organism can disseminate and produce very severe disease. In preantibiotic era was the second most common cause of infective endocarditis.

Men are rarely asymptomatic. 95% have intesnse pain. Indivuals, male or female, who engage in anal sex can have asymptomtic gonnorrhea.
