Pain and bleeding. The most common symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy are lower abdominal pain and bleeding in early pregnancy. If you are having these symptoms see your doctor right away. Ultrasound and blood tests can help make the diagnosis.
Too vague 4 diagnosi. Ectopic pregnancy is one of the few (and life-threatening) medical diagnoses that cannot be made on the basis of symptoms, history and physical examination. It requires accurate abdominopelvic sonography and serial beta HCG determination when it is suspected in the first half of pregnancy. Symptoms of ectopic are typically the same as for normal pregnancy..
Hello. Does a blood test detect sooner than a urine test? Since PMS & pregnancy share same symptoms I can't tell. I'm 47 & on hormone supplementation, phentermine, bupropion & other meds. Period due in 9 days. Have had ectopic pregnancy & miscarriages &
Pregnancy Test. Yes - Serum HCG (blood) is the gold standard.
A serum HCG might. Detect pregnancy a few days sooner than a urine HCG, but, by the time you get to a doctor to have it drawn and then wait for the results, you might as well do a home urine pregnancy test. If you do the test right after you wake up (when the urine is most concentrated) it's quite accurate. You can do the test as soon as 7 days from today.
Many possible. Pelvic/abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding are most common symptoms. These are rarely present with an early ectopic though, so if there's reason for concern about ectopic consult your doctor, do not rely on symptoms.
Pain, bleeding. An ectopic (tubal) pregnancy is a pregnancy that implants outside its normal location in the uterus. There are certain symptoms that could signal an ectopic pregnancy, such as abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. If you think you might have an ectopic pregnancy, seek medical attention immediately.
Can be asymptomatic. Ectopic pregnancy can at times be without symptoms - meaning a woman will not feel any pain nor have bleeding. It is very important to see a doctor early on and be under supervision until diagnosis is finalized. Unfortunately at times ectopic pregnancy can present with internal bleeding and then people present with sudden severe pain, dizziness, faint spells.
Pain lower abdomen. First be sure you are pregnnt. Usually between 6 to 8 weeks you can develop severe right or left lower quadrant pain. Ho to er or call your md right away! Can be diagnosed by ultrasound. This is a medical emergency! You can die if this ruptures!
Pain and shock. Classically women are late for their period and begin to have pelvic pain and sometimes abnormal vaginal bleeding. Sometimes other symptoms are present. It is not always an easy diagnosis to make. A visit to your doctor is urgently required.
Variable. Depending on where in the tube the pregnancy is, I have seen symptoms as early as 5-6 weeks, but as late as 13-14 weeks.
Many possible. Er does evaluate for ectopic, but if you have a obg seeing him/her is a much better plan. Pelvic/abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding are most common symptoms. These are rarely present with an early ectopic though, so if there's reason for concern about ectopic consult your doctor, do not rely on symptoms.
Emergency. A positive pregnancy test with worsening pain - can be severe. May have bleeding, cramping. Complications - if it is in the tube and unrecognized it can rupture the fallopian tube which is a surgical emergency and can be fatal.
Vague, serious. Ectopic pregnancy is one of the exceptions in medicine in that history and physical examination cannot help in its diagnosis significantly. This potentially life-threatening early pregnancy complication can only be diagnosed with serial beta HCG and transvaginal ultrasound examinations.
Symptoms of ectopic. Ectopic pregnancy when it is unruptured is asymptomatic. In the presence of a rupture with bleeding into the pelvis, it can cuase pain of increasing severity, vaginal bleeding or spotting. If the bleeding is really heavy syncopy, faintness with hypovolemic shock can occur. Ectopic pregnancy remains a leading cause of maternal death in the us and is treated as an emergency.
