Question about hand numbness and inability to move your index finger?

In brief: Could be your neck

A bulging disc in your neck could be pinching the nerve to your finger. When numbness and pain strike the same area, the problem is often more central.
This can be checked with an EMG (looks at the nerve conduction) and possibly fixed with surgery. There are lots of causes, though, and this can be very serious so get it checked out right away!
