St. John's wort is the only studied herbal treatment for mild depression.
No other herbal or supplemental medication has shown efficacy. Of course, st. John's wort has its own issues in that it lowers the levels of certain medications and dosingnp is three times a day. Antidepressants and therapy have greater efficacy.
