In brief: Difficult to say

It would depend on why the "placenta stopped working".
Was there any testing done? Any evidence of diabetes, uncontrolled blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, blood clotting disorder, etc? Having more information would be helpful in answering that question. None-the less extra vigilance during a subsequent pregnancy is required. Early testing, ultrasounds, etc. Good Luck!
