In brief: 5-8

Starting around 4 days old babies should have about 5-8 wet diapers a day.
Poop is another story. Some breastfeed babies stool after every feed which can be 8 times a day, some breastfed babies stool once every 5 days. As long as the stools are soft, both are fine. Formula fed babies tend to stool 2-5 times a day. When you start solids infants start stooling a little less often.

In brief: 3 - 4

Babies pee several times a day.
A young baby usually poops after each feeding or after every-other feeding (averaging 3-4 poops a day). As the weeks go by, babies tend to poop less often, some twice a day while others once every-other day. As long as a baby is happily eating and growing; and does not have constipation, bloating, or tummy aches; the number of poops a day is not very important.

In brief: Depends on the age of the child

In the early days after birth, the baby's system is just starting to work so the number of diapers is low.
After about a week of age, most babies are making about 6 to 8 wet diapers per day. Many or most of those will contain stools. The stools transition from black color to bright yellow. As your baby gets older and starting taking solid foods, the frequency will decrease & color will change.
