In brief: Hard to comment

There are arguments back and forth about the safety of alcohol consumption during breastfeeding there are some basic facts.
Alcohol will pass through the breast milk and it lingers in the milk after it is made.Alcohol converts to byproducts that are toxic to the developing brain. There is no level of alcohol exposure that is considered safe to a developing infant.

In brief: ALittleNowAndThen

There is disagreement about this subject among scientists, but the AAP says occasional small amounts are generally considered okay.
If you feel "buzzed" or "drunk" then it is recommended that you don't breastfeed until back to completely normal/sober. Chronic exposure is more problematic, believed to decrease milk production and cause poor growth/weight gain in the baby
