Will I need surgery to get rid of my uterine fibroids?

Fibroids. If you have heavy periods, severe cramps surgery is a good alternative if medication therapy failed. If it s just an incidental finding, just make sure you get a pelvic exam once a year.
Maybe. Not all fibroids will cause you problems. Sometimes they cause no symptoms. Other times they can grow and cause bleeding, pain, miscarriage, infertility, etc. So it really depends on you individually.
Also if growing. As they grow fibroids may be more likely to cause problems and be more difficult to remove through minimally invasive techniques. So you may want to get them dealt with if problems are borderline, but size increasing.
