I am trying for my second baby badly. My period is one week late but three home pregnancy tests came negative. My tummy is bloated as 4 months preggy?

Blood level. If you are having these typical pregnancy symptoms and signs but your home tests are coming back negative and you really badly want to know for sure whether you are pregnant or not, I would suggest asking your primary care doctor for a serum (blood level) HCG- qualitative and/or quantitative test. That should give you a definitive answer.
Not pregnant. With 3 negative pregnancy tests it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant. If you are that bloated you need to see a doctor to find out why and get some treatment.

Negative HCG test. Most home pregnancy tests are correct, and it can take up to 2 weeks for the test to turn positive with a pregnancy. You can get a blood pregnancy test to make sure and with the cramps that might be a good idea. It is also possible your hormone levels are causing the symptoms, if a cycle is not regular, such as no Progesterone made, the bleeding and symptoms are not regular, can be an ovarian cyst. Tests are accurate. Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon. Read more...
Pregnancy Tests. In general, if you had conceived it would have been about 3 wks ago, and most home pregnancy tests would be positive by now. Try it again in one week and see. If still negative, it could mean no pregnancy, or a lost fetus. We need to get to the bottom of the cause of the stomach pains - they may have nothing to do with a pregnancy, but if they persist, I would check with your provider. . Read more...
