Will OTC hydrocortisone cream have the same effect as prescription?
Perhaps. Otc Hydrocortisone cream comes in two strengths, 1% and 2.5%. Prescription steroid creams come in a greater variety of strengths and some are much more potent than the 2.5% hydrocortisone. You should also be aware that ointments may be more potent than creams.
