Many. Potentially many such as fatigue, weakness, low blood pressure and nightmares.
On propranolol (20mg day) for panic disorder. It's working great-better than anything else I've tried w/no side effects. Is there any risk of staying on this beta blocker long term?
No. Beta blockers are very safe long term. No worries!
What would you recommend as best beta blocker with least side effects to treat my SVT? Propranolol & metoprolol made me too dizzy.
Dose dependent. It's not so much the med as the dose - since the side effect of all BBs is to lower BP. If your BP becomes too low, you'll get dizzy. That said, the BB I like the best for SVT is nadolol. The usual dose is 20-80 mg once a day, but for you, I'd recommend starting at 10 mg once a day and if you tolerate it, think about increasing the dose.
