Ask your doctor. Usually Ciprofloxacin unless going to regions near thailand. Other choice is azithromycin. Use if frequent loose or bloody stools. 2. Preventative pepto-bismol taken daily two chewable tablets four times per day for no more than six days. Warning- has Aspirin in it. 3. "boil it, cook it, peel it, or forget it" 4. Plan your water source.
