This is the worst idea to self-medicate for mood swings.
Firstly, it is very hard to reach proper diagnosis by yourself. There are several possible causes of mood swing and they need to be treated differently. For example, there are menstrual related mood changes and then there is bipolar disorder. Secondly, many go down this path to end up abusing alcohol and illegal drugs. Not a shortcut.
