I suspect i've got a pinched nerve. Not scheduled to come in until may 17th, and the pain seems to be intensifying. Should I try to see a neurologist?

agree with Dr. Slosar; Presuming you are referring to your lower back, until seen, would try relative rest, flex knees when lying down by putting a pillow beneath them when on back, and between them when on side. Soft ice pack for 15 minutes alternating with 30 minutes of heat applications may also help. don't make any rapid movements, learn to pick up things and bend correctly.

In brief: Sure

You need a neruological exam. And possible an mri.

In brief: That may take longer

In certain areas of the country, neurologists are so tied up its almost impossible to see one within 4-8 weeks.
Please go to urgent care or get seen sooner if your pain is worsening.
