Can eyeglasses wearing cause bulging eyes?

No. Eyeglasses are supported on the ears and nose and cannot cause the eyes to bulge forward. Bulgivng eyes can be inherited, due to more extreme myopia, or from some diseases such as hyperthyroid (graves disease) or a lesion behind the eye which is growing. See your ophthalmologist if you have bulging eyes; it is not your glasses.

Is it normal to have bulging eyes when I need glasses?

Depends. The eyes have a normal, physical resting position in the bony orbits in which they sit. Bulging can be a problem but is not an indication of a need for eyeglasses. The need for glasses called refractive power is a totally separate issue. In extreme myopia only, the eyes can bulge forward a little.
