In brief: Poor posture

most individuals upper body/neck symptoms are related to poor upper body posture---slumping the shoulder. This leads to more headache-----affects the levator scapular muscle group--that attach to the upper cervical vertebrae cause dysfunction----and cervical strain symptoms---improve the posture and the symptoms will go

In brief: Likely muscle strain

May be due to heavy back bag.
Could also be due to long hours of study. Try carrying your bag by hand to see if solves the problem(or get one of those small travel bags with wheels). If problem persists it may be due to neck strain from spending hours studying. Make sure your in a comfortable posture. Lastly, stress and anxiety related to school work can cause muscle tension neck/head pain.
