In brief: It can resolve

Egg allergy is due to allergic antibody (ige) to egg protein, usually egg white.
One bite of egg can cause itchy/swollen lips/mouth/throat, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, flushing/hives, low bp. Infants usually outgrow egg allergy by 6 but in adults it tends to be long lasting. New blood tests can determine to which part of the protein you react and likelihood of outgrowing the allergy.
