Currently therapies osteoporisis are decently effective, but require long-term treatment.
Medications can be given once a wk, once a month, or even 2x/year options, but calcium supplements/vit d, and weight-bearing exercises are also very important and these require more committment. You/mom should consult with doc for best therapy for her. Good luck.
