Should a colonoscopy be done if a 17 year old girl has moderate blood in her stool for two days?

In brief: Bloody stool

That is not the first line of treatment.
Have her seen, though. There are some simpler tests to be done, first.

Multiple mechanism can result in bright red blood per rectum, including hemorrhoids, diverticular bleed, anal fissures. Distal rectal exam, with fecal occult blood stool test is the 1st step, with colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy for further testing if clinically indicated.
