also with headaches ( associated with the high fever), decrease in apetite, sometimes with diarrhea...in addition to the step-wise increase in fevers, malaise, chils...

Diarrhea usually begins in the second week of this disease, after it progresses into the walls of the bowel. Headache, as Dr. Ho points out, is an important component and in second week+ can lead to stupor, confusion, and other mental changes.
