If sexual dysfunction is experiences during a UTI or prostatitis, it should resolve after the infection has been completely treated. It will not be a long term issue.

Agree with Dr Luntz. However, often acute Prostatitis is not treated for 4-6 weeks and may result in chronic prostatitis which may affect the overall performance of the genital tract.
