Nelson et al published a review of over 50,000 births in the late 70's that showed more than half of kids with CP signs at age 7 had a normal pregnancy, labor and delivery.
That said, we always worry about any kid having distress in labor or delivery. Great strides in their care have likely improved outcomes. We seldom find a definite reason when CP appears.
