I get upper stomach cramps when drinking white wine. Red wine is fine. What could this be?

In brief: GERD
White wine (& beer) decrease lower esophageal sphincter pressure, thus inducing reflux of acid.
White wine also increases stomach acidity (lowers the ph) more than red wine. This may be the cause of your discomfort. See your fp for treatment options or possible further workup.
