Seek referral to a . pediatric neurologist & obtain a developmental assessment to know benefits vs. risks of Phenobarbital, as it can cause behavior & learning problems. Recurrence of Febrile Seizures in 50% of tots who have their 1st at < 12 mos. & abnormal EEG's in 49% don't predict epilepsy.
