Accidentally swallowed about a drop of polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) original antibiotic cream. Will anything happen to me?

No. But note that this product is probably of no use. It may cause allergic reactions. Thus you should avoid using polysporin, (bacitracin and polymyxin) neosporin, bacitracin, or triple antibiotic on wounds or injuries. Severe allergies have caused a few deaths. If you were that sensitive you would not be asking this question: you would be on the floor.
No problem. If you only swallowed a small drop-sized amount, you should not have any problem. The exception would be if you are allergic to any of the contents of the polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) - then you could see a reaction.
No worries. If you are not immediately allergic don't worry. very low risk.

My eye is red, irritated, tearing, blurry, sore. I believe I scratched it. I bought Polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) Antibiotic drops. Will that hurt or help?

Be Careful. If it is a minor scratch, meaning not too big or deep, then it should heal in a few days using those drops every few hours. However, if your vision is compromised or the pain increases, or you get sensitive to the light, or a discharge starts then you should go to a doctor immediately. Don't take any chances with your eyes. You don't need to wear an eye patch. Avoid bright lights or a lot of TV. Read more...

Help! Need to know if there's a cream like polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) to heal cuts and tears in genital area?

Zinc oxide. I would put this cream on the affected areas every time you finish going to the bathroom. In addition apply it right before bedtime. No sex until they heal. Read more...

Can your body defend itself against bacteria in a cut without antibiotics? I think it's awful to rely on antibiotics so much. So I am using polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin)

Yes, of course... ...the body defends itself against infections in cuts, without antibiotics. Antibiotics have only been available for 75-80 years, but through the ages, most wounds didn't get seriously infected. Even now, antibiotics are not usually used to prevent infection in cuts; the main medical advice is to just keep the wound clean and dry. And FYI, polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) is an antibiotic ointment. Read more...

Do I need an antibiotic? I have had a red, swollen and painful finger for 5 days. I poked it with a needle and squeezed it and pus came out. I have been putting polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) on it.

It's . It's a little hard to know exactly the best answer without seeing it. If you have no systemic symptoms (like fever, pain in the wrist or elbow or armpit) it's most likely this thing will heal on its own. I'd recommend hot soaks as well as the polysporin, (bacitracin and polymyxin) but would have a low threshhold for seeing a doctor to just take a peek at this for you. Read more...
