In brief: Spine pain
Pain in any joint is more soft tissues around joint than just joint.
Muscles tendons ligaments are as affected as joint as one functional unit.Spine pain=back pain. If muscles around vertebrae are weak, that can lead to pain. Walking strengthen back muscles, as bicycling! long term stress leads to back pain. Sleeplessness leads invariably to back pain. Live healthy!

I would add that dysfunctional vertabrae may cause pain, even pinch nerves. A good osteopathic exam may find the cause directly and osteopathic manipulation may correct it.There are other treatments for injured ligaments (prolotherapy) or nerves (ex. neuroprolotherapy) which are not symptomatic treatments, but repairs for injured tissues.
