In brief: Megaloblastic anemia

Megaloblastic anemia is macrocytic anemia ( elevated mcv/large rbc) that results fron inhibition of dna synthesis in RBC production.
This can be caused by deficiency in vit b12, folate (folic acid) or drug induced. If you are a strict vegan- you are at risk to have vit B12 deficiency-thus you should take vit B12 supplement. Check and discuss further in detail with your doctor.
