Conscious breathing. There are many different ways to meditate but the essence is taking slow deep breaths while focusing on the process & focusing your mind on a sound or image. Different techniques. There are many ways to mediate, depends on what you want to attain. Most simple technique involves paying attention to your breathing and counting breaths. During this time, try focus on your breathing and nothing else.
Abdominal breathing. Studies have shown that meditation can have positive effects on your autonomic nervous system, your immune system and your hormonal systems, thus rebalancing your overall metabolism. Proper abdominal breathing techniques are paramount in achieving the relaxation response. You do not need to be a master. Find someone who can teach you this and then practice it consistently.
