What are laboratory tests of prostate that need to be done?

PSA. No test "needs" to be done but the recommended testing for prostate cancer includes a digital rectal examination and urinalysis. It also includes a psa test although studies are conflicting as to how important the psa test in screening for prostate cancer.
PSA. Psa is the only test right now for prostate cancer. Soon we will have other tests, such as pca3 and tmprs:erg that may help give even better ideas of prostate cancer risk.
