What to do about inflamed gall bladder and yes I went to the doctor?

Remove. Cholecystitis, an inflamed GB is different than cholelitiasis, the presence of stones. When the GB become inflamed, it is usually secondary to the presence of a large calculus not passing into the cystic duct but impacting in the lower GB just above the duct where pressure on the cystic arteryt induces inflammation and eventual necrosis. Removal of the GB is usually indicated.
