Nifedipine crosses the placenta. Use in pregnancy only when clearly needed and when the benefits outweigh the potential hazard to the fetus. Hypotension and fetus growth retardation [iugr are reported as risks.Iugr also reported with maternal hypertension.It is prescribed understanding the above.
