In brief: Tylenol (acetaminophen)...

In brief: Febrile seizures are

more likely in infants & toddlers with a family history of febrile seizures.
1st seizure is usually between 6 months & 3 years. Temperature is usually 102 degrees or >. No studies have proven that reducing fever reduces risk of a febrile seizure, If 1st febrile seizure is at <12 mos., recurrence is more likely, but only 2-5% of tots with febrile sezures develop epilepsy.

I believe we both mis-read your question. If your child has a seizure disorder, continue daily Anti-Epileptic medications. Reducing fever will make him more comfortable, but may not prevent. Especially if our child has had recent break-through seizures, it'd be wise to see your pediatrician before the weekend & advise his pediatric neurologist that (s)he is ill.

In brief: Febrile seizures

Fever reducers help to prevent seizures if taken appropriately.
