Nasonex (mometasone) can cause nosebleeds, headache and irritation.
These are considered side effects. True allergy is extremely rare and would cause swelling of nasal tissue and perhaps itching. I've never seen this in 30+ years of clinical practice.

you can minimise the incidence of nosebleeds if you point the spray of nasonex to the leteral well of the nostils at an angle laterally
