What is the survival rate for nodular melanoma specifically? Can it be caught in situ? What causes it to begin as nodular as opposed to superficial?

In brief: Poor

The most aggressive type of melanoma is the Nodular melanoma.
The most serious type of skin cancer is Melanoma or more often referred to as malignant melanoma. It became the most exceptional type of skin cancer form because it is likely to spread among the internal organs or lymph nodes in the body unlike other skin cancer types.

Nodular melanomas usually start as theore aggressive type as superficial spreading usually stays less aggressive unless totally ignored and allowed to grow to a large size. Any type can start out as in situ which should be cured with a simple excision. Ideally, all melanomas would be recognized and excised at the in situ stage.
