What’s the best therapy/treatment for panic attacks?

Panic. Best therapy is combination of cognitive behavior therapy, relaxation, breathing exercises, and medications to block panic attacks.
CBT & Meds. Have you tried relaxation breathing? If you want to avoid medication for your panic attacks, i highly recommend the book: the relaxation response by benson. Read the entire book, then start doing the exercises as contained in the book. Start with 5 minutes twice a day working up to 10 minutes twice a day. Your panic should resolve. You will be able to stop an attack with the book's techniques.
Depends. It's a matter of opinion. Sometimes just getting a checkup and being reassured that you are fine is helpful. Then there are medications for anxiety. If you tend to hyperventilate, then it is sometimes helpful to breathe into a paper bag. My preference is hypnosis however since it is one of the things I use and I have seen it to be very successful.

This is something that you should discuss individually with your psychiatrist of course, but in general i would recommend an ssri, cognitive therapy, but if the depression itself did not lift then augmentation with abilify (aripiprazole).
