Is motrin the same or similar to Aleve (naproxen)?

Not same. But they are similar (non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Aleve (aka naprosyn/naproxen) is taken twice a day whereas ibuprofen (aka Motrin, Advil) is a med that can be taken every 6 to 8 hours (this 3 or 4 times a day). Both drugs work by reducing the inflammatory response by the body. You should use one or the other, but not both at the same time to reduce risk of GI upset and kidney stress .
YES. they are bot NSAIDS and have the same exact mechanism of action. naproxen (Aleve) seems to be a bit stronger and therefore more irritating to the GI tract.
Motrin & Aleve (naproxen) No. Motrin is ibuprofen. Aleve is naproxen. They are both NSAIDs and act in a similiar manner. Naproxen may cause more stomach issues.
