In brief: Virus

Human papilloma virus can be treated and controlled.
I would not use the phrase cured. Most contagious when visible however. Some things are forever.

In brief: HPV

Hpv is caused by a virus transmitted sexually.
There are so symptoms when you get hpv. Your body in most of the cases will develop immunity to infection which is protective. Only few strains of hpv relates to cervical cancer. Best way to prevent this is to have your regular annual gyn visit.
