In brief: Vaginal yeast

You do not need to be sexually active to have a vaginal yeast infection.
It can occur after taking antibiotics, or from other things that alter the normal vaginal flora. As well, your symptoms may be something else, though nothing serious! You can certainly try an over the counter preparation for this, but , if symptoms persist, you should see your provider.
