My dentist noticed today that my right thyroid gland looks larger than my left. Cause? Effect? How to fix?

In brief: See your dr

It could be from a nodule in your thyroid.
Your doctor will want to examine you, and possibly order an ultrasound to find out what it is.

In brief: Usually not serious.

See your doctor. You may have an assymetric goiter, a thyoid nodule or cyst.
Hashimoto's thyroiditis and grave's need be exluded. I would personally get an ultrasound, becuase if you have a solid nodule, it should be bxed.
