In brief: Well - tolerated

My patients have tolerated Buspar (buspirone) exceptionally well.
The most common side effect they have reported is dizziness. Other potential side effects can include: headache, feeling tired, ringing of ears, paradoxical feelings of restlessness or anxiety, blurring of vision, nausea, GI upset, dry mouth & congestion. Priapism would be a very rare but serious side effect. See below.

I have also seen a few patients who reported symptoms consistent with postural hypotension. If you develop chest pain, difficulty breathing or swelling of tongue, lips, face or throat call 911.
