It may help, but... Oxaprozin, like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids), can temporarily relieve pain. However, this medication will do nothing to address the underlying infection that causes toothache. At best, nsaids play an ancillary role in the treatment of dental infection. Cure of dental infection requires formal intervention by a dentist.
