I would wait. Sporonox and Fluconazole are not the treatment of choice for tinea versicolor fungus reactions. Ketoconazole is much better as after taken by mouth, it gets to the skin the fastest. However, after an allergic reaction, you should try to use a topical treatment first. Selinium sulfide 2.5% shampoo or Nizoral (ketoconazole) 2% shampoo are much better and safer choices to treat your tv. Read more...

Resistant yeast. Some yeast strains are resistant to all the "azole" drugs, and more prolonged treatment won't help. These infections need treatment with other drugs like nystatin, flucytosine, or other drugs.
