In brief: Mixed reaction

In addition to hydrocodone, an opiate narcotic, Hycodan contains homatropine which is included to reduce intended overdosage.
Therefore, if taken in too large a dose, in addition to the well-know effects of narcotics, the homatropine may cause dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention, fast heart rate, nausea, vomiting, and more.

In brief: Nausea, drowsiness

Hycodan (hydrocodone) contains a narcotic that when ingested could give a "high", but it could also make people feel sick, nauseated, faint, groggy, get constipated, and most dangerously - have respiratory depression (meaning you could stop breathing).
Used over a long period of time, people get dependent, meaning they get withdrawal symptoms when stopping. It's a medicine to be used with caution.
