Tube in the nose. It involves filling the bowel with fluid that will show up bright on the images and makes the small bowel stand out. This is put in through a tube in your nose that goes into the small bowel.
Actually MR enterocl. Clysis does not involve a tube in your nose. We ask the patient to drink the contrast - which is basically water with a little medication in it to irritate your small bowels. It is good for evaluation of crohn's disease. But the pre and post contrast images are just as important if not more important than the spcial haste images.
